should get a third salting. Shake salt off, fold hair side in, and let dry 2-4 days before packing. Skins are best sent UPS,
insured, in a sturdy cardboard box well taped using shipping labels and packing slips we provide. When sending more than one
box at a time, please label each box 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc.

TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE
There are many factors that have an affect on the final results of fur dressings. There are primness, weather conditions, care of
the skin by the sportsman, and taxidermist. For these reasons we cannot assume responsibility or offer any guarantee of the fur
dressing of any skin.

SOAKING INSTRUCTIONS
All Capes – Soak 1-4 hours depending on thickness (1 hour for antelope, 4 hours moose) in cool saltwater (1 pound of salt per
20 gallons of water). Drain and refrigerate in a plastic bag over night. At this time skins will be nicely soaked and relaxed for
prepping and mounting.

Bears and Furs for Rugs – Soak only head and feet in cool salt water for 1-3 hours. Drain and refrigerate in a plastic bag
overnight, prep and mount. When the head is completely dry, soak the feet in a pan while sponging the flesh side on the skin,
and do not wet the hair.

Bears and Furs for full mounts – Soak the head and feet in cool saltwater while sponging the rest of the hide. Then drain the
dead and feet and refrigerate in a plastic bag overnight.

STORAGE OF TANNED SKINS
Tanned skins for mounting are best kept in cardboard boxes, stored in a cool dry area until ready for use.
Long-Term storage (more than one year) of skins to be mounted is best kept wet and frozen.
Follow appropriate “Soaking Instructions,” then seal in two heavy-duty garbage bags and freeze until mounting.
